Ex-England Colleges player and current Cardiff Blues winger Alex Cuthbert has been named in the Wales 28-man squad to face Australia.

Alex has been in outstanding form for the Blues and will join the six other Blues players who featured for Wales during the Rugby World Cup: Lloyd Williams, Jamie Roberts, Leigh Halfpenny, Bradley Davies, Gethin Jenkins and Sam Warburton.

England Colleges Manager Phil Llewellyn said "This is great news for Alex and well deserved after a number of seasons on the sevens circuit with Wales and some excellent displays for Cardiff this season. It goes to show the exposure players get at England Colleges level stands them in great sted to go on and further their rugby careers. I shall be looking forward to watching Alex perform against Australia and hopefully he will grab this opportunity with both hands".
